Snell fans 17 for Indianapolis

Ian Snell found one good way to escape the “negativity:” Strike ‘em all out.

In a superb return to Class AAA Indianapolis yesterday, he fanned 17 batters over seven innings, including his first 13 outs of a 2-1 victory against visiting Toledo.

Couldn’t ask for anything more from the guy.  Replenishes some of his MLB value as a starter?

Is this his way of saying, "Please trade for me; get me the #### out of Pittsburgh."?

I originally read that as the first 13 batters.
Nevertheless, that's a definite eye-opener performance.

Holy FKKK.

Even for a MLB pitcher vs. AAA hitters 17 Ks in 7 IP is mindblowing

Well, it was 13 of the first 14 - he walked the first guy, and then struck out the next 13 in order.

Ooh, that Snell!

This is good news, I want this guy's intensity and dedication to be rewarded.

It is impressive that he took the demotion as a motivator, and didn't go downa and sulk and under-perform.

Considering he asked for the demontion from the Pirates, wouldn't a reward for him be a trade to another team?
