The Milwaukee Brewers announced Friday they have designated relief pitcher Derrick Turnbow for assignment.
Do they keep him if he clears waivers? Will he want to stay? And what about Bob?

Leo!!!!!
Marvin!!!
No, it is.
The possibilities:
1. Brewers trade Turnbow (Turnbow still paid under his current contract)
2. Another team claims Turnbow on waivers (Turnbow still paid under his current contractt, new team picks up the contract)
3. Brewers cut Turnbow outright [HIGHLY UNLIKELY] (Turnbow still paid under his current contract)
4. Turnbow clears waivers, reports to AAA (Turnbow still paid under his current contract)
5. Turnbow clears waivers, REFUSES AAA assignment, which he has enough service time to do
#5 is the only way Turnbow doesn't get paid under his current contract, and it's solely up to Turnbow. If refuses the assigment to AAA, he's opting out of his contract, basically.
