Evan Grant had something similar for the Dallas Morning News, but Jeff Wilson’s is, I think, a little better.
May 8: Thanks, Tom Grieve, for this commentary after Seattle’s Richie Sexson charged Kason Gabbard. Gabbard had uncorked a high-but-over-the-plate fastball that Sexson mistook as an attempt to plunk him. Sexson ran toward Gabbard, then threw his helmet off Gabbard’s back. Gabbard had been activated from the DL that day with a back injury. “That is a gutless, 6-foot-7, .200-hitting, formerly good player,” Grieve said. “What a joke.”
