Like hitting home runs and stealing bases.
And playing great D.
“Nice talent, but I can’t stand the guy. Don’t like his attitude. He does things to make the other team mad. And I couldn’t believe the stuff he said last week about wanting to be the face of the team, the captain, the leader. Very next game he didn’t run out a ground ball. Some leader.”

HuberTucky you said it perfectly, I cannot agree more, I cannot watch my Reds anymore, I took up quilting to fill the void left by my useless, once beloved team.
Isn't quilting one of the things Adam Dunn said he liked more than baseball? I wonder if Post Office Dean chose it off Dunn's list, or if this is some strange irony.
As a minor leaguer Phillips always had an attitude that he was a franchise player. No doubt he was talented, but he hadn't done anything to justify that kind of attitude in the majors.
As foolish as the Indians were for letting Phillips go, one factor was his seeming stubborness to acknowledge that he should be treated as anything other than a star, when clearly his struggles indicated that he could stand to take some advice on how to get back on track.
He always had to drive the flashiest car, and cop a superior attitude with fans. Great when you can back it up on the field, but irritating when you aren't.
Dammit, Repoz! I'm a Primate, not a doctor!
I thought that last line was cute.
