TSN: Justice: Unique among his peers, Greg Maddux will be missed

Nothing like a fluffy Greg Maddux article…in order to club the liver-snaps out of Roger Clemens. Nice touch, Dick.

Roger Clemens. Yes, him. It’s impossible to think of Greg Maddux without also thinking of Roger Clemens.

They’re that similar. They were totally different in personality, approach and stuff. But they won at about the same clip.

They led this era in everything. Between them, they’ve got 709 victories and 11 Cy Young Awards.

Years from now, the people that faced them, managed them and played alongside them will be telling stories of their brains and raging competitive fires.

And it’s sad that Clemens is not going to be in this discussion, that he doesn’t even deserve to be in this discussion.

That article seemed more like it was about how Clemens destroyed his reputation, tarnished his accomplishments, etc. than it was a fluff piece admiring Greg Maddux.
