WaPo: Trembley Pitching a Fit Over Starters (RR)

Patti and Trembleys - “Mixed Up, Shook Up, Manager”. Dig it!

Patti Trembley, the wife of Orioles Manager Dave Trembley, told her husband she never watched him emerge from a dugout faster than he did Friday night, when he pulled Brian Burres in the second inning of a 6-5 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.

“I really think I did, because I didn’t want to see it anymore,” Trembley said before Saturday’s game, the second of a three-game series. “I didn’t want those guys to see it anymore. I’m not going to sit back on my hands and say, ‘It’s okay.’ It’s not okay.”

Trembley’s frustration with his starting pitching has surpassed a tipping point. “What I can do about it? I don’t know,” Trembley said. “What I like to do about it is another story. What we will do about it is stay tuned.”

“At this particular point in time, you have to consider every possibility just from the standpoint of doing something to keep the morale of your team from going bonkers,” Trembley said.

Fortunately, Kevin Millar and Melvin Mora are on the team to provide leadership, in addition to their unparalleled offense.

To be serious for a moment, was the 'What I'd like to do is another story' a jab at MacPhail? Kind of odd, really.
