Yahoo! Sports: Can Kim Ng break the gender barrier?

I don’t know, but I’d have to say she has a better chance than Michelle Malkin....

The air is warm on an afternoon at Dodger Stadium. The sun cuts through the smog like a laser beam. Kim Ng finds a seat in the shade behind home plate and pushes a pair of sleek black sunglasses to the top of her head.

Nice writing, Tim.

It's time. Someone should give her a chance.

I would love to see the Mariners hire her. And I can see it happening...

Zumsteg was very into the idea of Ng in SEA before they brought in Bavasi. I am sure he is already banging the drum at USSM.

And Ng, unlike Malkin, is almost certainly sane.

When I go to the internet for Asian women, this isn't what I want to see.

Be expecting some hate mail from Zumsteg.

Minaya could be fired. She could come back to New York.

She and I are getting old and we still haven't walked in the glow of each other's majestic presence.

Huh. First time I've heard it called that...

That's her sister.

Wouldn't the fact that the Dodgers have been pretty poorly run lately weigh against her?

How is "Ng" pronounced? I've always just said "en-jee," for a lack of any other reasonable pronunciation (or vowels).

"Aing," I believe.

She doesn't want the world, she just wants Minaya's half.

(Props to T.J.)

When DePodesta was fired, I wanted her to replace him.

Maybe if Colletti is fired, she'll finally get her chance. I suspect Jamie McCourt will be pushing for her. And it would be fun to watch Plaschke try to find a way to criticize her promotion without sounding like a racist or sexist.

There's probably not a chance that Japanese company will hire a Taiwanese woman as their executive. No way.

Edit: to be fair, Nintendo is pretty forward for a Japanese company.

I would love to see this happen! She is due .. as a side note, maybe she will get rid of that archaic policy of theirs.

But are your words the ones she would think you would say if there was a you for her?

How is "Ng" pronounced?

Eng. With the "e" here pronounced similar to the "e" in edge
