I hadn't done anything yet!

That's the kind of problem I dig - problems that somehow magically fix themselves.

Hampton's going through a divorce. The (almost ex-)wife and kids are apparently in Arizona. The AJC reported that the Braves offered more money, but he wanted to be closer to his kids.

I like Hampton, despite everything, but I sure won't mind that the Braves won't be hoping he can do something other than get hurt in 2009.

What about his hitting projection? I'm dead serious when I say I think he could be a better bat off the bench than some of the guys they currently have - Reggie Abercrombie? Geoff Blum?

Ha -- maybe they should play Hampton in CF!
