Hopefully, the Royals get the same return on this contract than the Twins have received for Cristian Guzman's.

Actually, the team has a club option on 2009, so they could possibly by out one free agent year on Berroa. Overall this is a great deal, and I know it may not mean much, but maybe it can help convince Carlos that Baird and Glass are committed to keeping good players in KC. Now if only David Glass would pay that man his money. Watch out for falling payrolls!
