When I saw this headline, I was hoping there was a player named Tom Morrow. I'm disappointed.

Huh? Why would being traded cause Morrow's OPS+ to change from 107 to 94? Is one of the projections wrong?

It's not being traded, it's the rigor mortis.

Sorry I'm not very ZIPS savvy but do Morrow's peripherals change appreciably if you make him a full time starter or reliever? If it's an easy adjustment (and makes a difference) I think that would be the interesting thing to look at.

OK, there are a few reasons I can think of why Morrow's OPS+ could change from 107 to 94...which is a pretty major change from solidly above average to solidly below average.

1) OPS+ is not park adjusted. I don't think this is the case, but it would explain it.

2) Morrow is particularly ill-suited for Rogers Centre or well-suited for Safeco.

3) The ZIPS system takes into account strength of schedule, so it is the fact that he is facing the Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays a lot more that is causing the OPS+ to drop.
