Indians - Signed Graffanino

Cleveland Indians - Signed 2B Tony Graffanino to a minor-league contract.

Graf was always one of my personal favorites, but he’s also a 36-year-old with bad knees who has to be able to at least fake 2B in order to deserve a major league job.  As long as Marte is on the roster, it’s unlikely that Graffanino plays in the majors as he can’t really backup Peralta at short.

Oh no, how will the Royals be able to finish in 3rd now with the Indians stockpiling firepower like Graffanino?

The Buffalo sports station was featuring this as a lead news item yesterday.

Only so many ways you can get excited about a 6'7 defensemen. I guess.
