I thought this would be about Jeff Nelson, and was disappointed that he wasn't coming out of retirement.

Shelton had a terrific spring as well, then started out the year ice cold (though not as bad as Nelson). Interestingly, the lil' M's are playing him (Shelton) at third, where things have gone as you'd expect.

I too, thought it might be about Jeff Nelson and was about to throw up. Given the Griffey signing, a Nelson signing would almost make some weird sense, soon to be followed by an Alvin Davis signing.

Nelson played some third last year, too, and may have been the worst third baseman I've ever seen. In a city that's had both Ryan Braun and Mat Gamel "play" third base in the last couple of years, that's saying something.
