This won't be anough for the marlins to catch the braves, that's for sure.
Flannery has been a minor league closer, with all of the caveats implied in that statement. He's got a low-90s fastball and a good but not great slider. He does have a reliever's intensity and doesn't back down from anyone, and I think he's got a chance of being successful in someone's bullpen down the road.
I think this is a good deal for the Marlins, because they didn't have to trade Scott Olsen or Josh Johnson, both of whom IMO have significantly more upside than does Bazardo, to upgrade the major league roster. Those two guys are also the reason why I think that Marlins made a smart move in not dealing Burnett; even if they don't resign him as a FA, they can probably replace him fairly quickly with either Olsen or Johnson, and they've still got Logan Kensing and now Adam Bostick coming along as well.
