Next time you're doing something related and have a chance to run it without too much trouble, can you see who ZiPS considers Jess Todd's comps?

First guy to make the majors that I saw pitch in college, so I've got a connection to him.

Assuming Todd as a full-time reliever his 2010 projection is a 3.93 ERA and his best ZiPS comps are Alejandro Pena, Oscar Villarreal, Tom Niedenfuer, Antonio Osuna, Bobby Thigpen, Cecilio Guante, Elias Sosa, Brian Rogers, Jorge Julio, and Juan Rincon.

The most important thing here:

Will Matt Wieters get his number back?

I am also a big Jess Todd believer

One notable characteristic of the Thrift and Beat Again regimes in Baltimore is that as poorly as they ran the team, there were very few monumentally bad signings.

Didn't Syd sign Omar Daal and David Segui? And Marty Cordova? And Pat Hentgen?

Well, there goes the career of the only major leaguer ever (that I know of)from my hometown. For somebody who didn't make the majors for good until he was 30, Jamie Walker had a decent career. Sure, he was only a loogy, but he can say he was good enough to pitch in the majors for 7 full years, and parts of 3 others. And the $11 million bbref says he's made can't hurt either.

And the $11 million bbref says he's made can't hurt either.

That doesn't include this year's salary either so it's more like 16 million.
