Why didn't the Twins do this instead and save themselves 4-5 million? And with Kyle Lohse still out there how in the world could Livan Hernandez command around 6 million.

It's important for the Reds to keep their number of former Pirate players constant... tough luck for Wilson that the Reds signed Fogg.

Is it possible to see quickie projections for the Phillies' Feliz and Benson signings?

Bensons probably won't look too different, but I would like to see the adjustment in Feliz from AT%T to CBP.

Ah! No edit on the Oracle, my "%" stays!

"But hey, he's only getting about 20% of what Livan Hernandez will get to probably be a worse pitcher."

Well thats what pitching 30-70 more innings a year of, usually, more effective baseball will do for you.

But Fogg is a damn good bargain at 1-year, 1-mil. Thats practically minimum MLB wage

At least the Reds don't have any middle of the road long reliever for another one of those mystery player dealies

What was the point of bringing in Craig Wilson anyway? Was it so they could trade Scott Hatteberg? Even Dusty is saying that it is Joey Votto's job.

Wilson was brought in to provide a RH bat with pop off the bench and man 1B against tough LHs to spell Votto. It helped that he could fill the role as emergency C also to make Valentin more readily available for LH PH duties. Shame his shoulder is not right, he could have been a great fit for the Reds this season.
