The over/under game—Alex Gordon

It’s the over/under game! This time, our focus is Alex Gordon.

After walking three times in a game—cue Handel’s Hallelujah chorus—things are looking good for The Franchise’s future.

Here are his stats for Spring Training so far [via Espen]:
8 Games
18 ABs
.333 Avg
3 R
6 H
10 TB
2 Doubles
1 Triple
0 HRs
5 RBI

So, based off of small sample sizes and your unabashed need for Gordon to succeed this year, make your predictions!

OVER/UNDER

QUESTION 1—Gordon is hitting .270 by the All-Star Break.
QUESTION 2—Gordon has a .330 OBP by the ASB.
QUESTION 3—Gordon is slugging .430 by the ASB.
QUESTION 4—Gordon has 10 HRs by the ASB.

QUESTION 5—Gordon is hitting .285 by year’s end.
QUESTION 6—Gordon has a .350 OBP by year’s end.
QUESTION 7—Gordon is slugging .450 by year’s end.
QUESTION 8—Gordon has 25 HRs by year’s end.

QUESTION 9—Gordon is named the Royals player of the year 0.5 times. (See what I did there? Over means yes, under means no.)
QUESTION 10—Gordon is named AL Rookie of the Year 0.5 times.
QUESTION 11—Gordon is put on the DL 1 time.
QUESTION 12—Gordon will have 500 plate appearances by year’s end.

Fire away.

Edit: I just realized typing Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4 has to be annoying. So, for your leisure, you can copy/paste this ‘ballot’ right into the comment box. How nice I am!

Q9 -- Under -- If Sweeney has a good year, if DeJesus stays healthy, if Teahen maintains his swing from last year, if Brown kicks it up, and even if Shealy can have a great year, Gordon can be edged out very easily.
Q10 -- Under -- Dr. Gyroball on a sexier team in a pennant race.
Q11 -- Under -- I hope not.
Q12 -- Over -- German will have plenty of time to fill in elsewhere, plus Gordon will be selling tickets with his name alone by year's end, I think.

Your name should be "Garth blogs, therefore Garth is."

Here's a link to Gordon's page at FanGraphs, complete with projections from Bill James, CHONE, and Dan's ZiPS.

I like his career and all but I think he wears down and pitchers start to exploit him after the ASB. He'll get his revenge though in future years.

I get no credit? Kyle C's is the same as mine.

Has KC stated that Alexander Gordon the Great will start the season in the bigs? Or is there still a chance he goes to AAA for 1/2 a year to delay his free agent clock?

I want him as a keeper in fantasy but he does me no good in Omaha.
