Curt Schilling’s new blog, 38 Pitches

It’s called “38 pitches”. He plans to cover baseball, media, family, electronic gaming, you name it.

Aside to Curt: A lot of people here (Sox Therapy, and BTF-wide) don’t seem to care for you much, but I haven’t figured out why. Keep on doing what you’re doing.

Some of the baseball-related tidbits so far:

The AL Central will be a knock-down-drag-out fight similar to last year ... Daisuke Matsuzaka is legit. ... Josh [Beckett] is getting better each time I see him ... The best part of Jon [Lester] is his makeup.

While comment number 10 following his first post has a point, I do respect Schilling for his response to it.

Yeah, but the only reason the guy dislikes Schilling is because Schilling is a Republican.

this will pretty extraorinary if he decides to keep it up, an up close look at the in-game thought processes of a HOF caliber pitcher in the sunset of his career.

Not sure if it's still the case, but I found it pretty funny that the only reply Schilling had was to some guy who trashed him. Here were dozens of posts praising Schilling, engaging him on various topics, etc. But the one that he responds to is an obvious taunt from someone who doesn't care for him.

I don't mean this to reflect on Curt in any way, I just think it's an interesting part of human nature.

in later posts, Schilling does actually comment on certain questions posed to him. in his 2nd entry he expounds on his relationship with 'tek saying that tek's right "99 out of 100 times."

Schilling has now answered a bunch of questions from posters, which he claims he will do from time to time. Funny thing is, he's re-written the questions in the first person, like so:

Q- Why and how do I plan to use the change up; which leads to the second question of do I think I am giving anything away here, or too much info?

A- I won’t give in depth detail as to what I plan to do and not to do here, to the degree I feel it will give anyone an edge when facing me.

As a fan, I've generally had a love/hate relationship with Schilling, but this blog represents his most winning side, it seems to me.
