We had great sucess with this in 2008, somewhat less so in ‘09. But I forever hopeful. The plan this year is to attend a game at Richmond County Bank Ballpark home of the Staten Island Yankees. If we can get 10 guys in, they’ll give us a group rate which means a free program and Staten Island Yankee hat for everyone. If we want to go this route, we can also consider the All You Can Eat plan. That will not, sadly, cover booze.
The schedule can be found there, I would vote for a Friday or Saturday night. July 30 (Friday) or August 7 (Saturday). If we get people together, I’ll do the organizing, and front the cash for tickets, etc.
I’d say you should get the 10 soon and then flood the site for takers. If something goes horribly wrong and we end up unable to fill the seats I will pay for two. But I really don’t anticipate that.

Sorry, I will be in Virginia & Indiana on those 2 weekends.
Well, it doesn’t have to be those dates, I just pulled them out of thin air. They have, obviously, a lot of Friday and Saturday night games. Once more people have weighed in on good/bad days we’ll reevaluate.

I can’t make any commitment at this time, but I’m thinking I might be up there around that time.
When might you know I’m thinking about setting eary July as the drop-dead for this, but I’m flexible.
Early July sounds like about when I’ll know for sure. I’m definitely done with my school commitment July 23rd, but I can’t say for sure that I won’t have work to do arranging our move for September. But I think I should be able to nick a few days.
