My method for voting is: I select the player at each position that I think is most likely to make the Hall of Fame.
AL
C: I-Rod. Sorry, young dudes.
1B: I voted for Teixiera. The next best candidate is probably Giambi, who I don’t think will be a HOFer.
2B: Possibly the weakest position by my method. Cano gets the vote over another guy who has a long way to go, Kinsler.
3B: A-Rod
SS: Jeter, past a diving Tejada
OF: Manny
OF: Vlad
OF: Sheffield. Injury status is not a factor in my voting.
Boy, that’s not much of a defensive outfield…
NL
C: Piazza
1B: Pujols
2B: Biggio, who I think will have a better shot than Kent when all is said and done.
3B: Probably the toughest selection. Chipper, Rolen, and Wright are all possibilities. I went with Cabrera, who has a long way to go but of the 4 he’s the one I think is most likely to be a HOFer.
SS: Vizquel (ugh). Surely one of the younger guys will eventually establish himself as a candidate, but I don’t see it right now.

OF: Andruw Jones.
