It was recently noted in the Lounge that the “you must wait 30 seconds between posts” restriction seems to stop everything but the thing it’s intended to stop.  We still have plenty of double posts (and the occasional triple post).

Can we try eliminating the rule or at least reducing it to a smaller value (5 seconds maybe)?  Currently it seems the biggest impact of the rule is a 30-second public shaming if you make a mistake in a post (spelling mistake, broken link, etc.), since you’re not allowed to edit it, which is really annoying.

Ah, the 22x post.  (I just wanted to see if there was any sort of upper limit to how fast you can sneak posts in by clicking the button too many times.  Didn’t want to do it in the actual Lounge, so I figured this is a more appropriate place.)

Seriously though, can we lose the 30-second rule?  Pretty please?
