I’m trying to figure out who would make the “All-Time” lineups of certain teams based on statistical analysis. Essentially, I’m trying to figure out the best way to measure a player’s total contributions over an entire season into 1 stat. I’ve done something similar with basketball and have come up with a formula that is fairly useful, but don’t know baseball nearly as well and need a bit of a crutch from more knowledgeable people.
What are some of the good stats to determine a player’s overall contribution over an entire season? And, if possible, what is the formula to determine such a stat?
Thanks!
