How do you quote from a previous post in a new comment
Posted: 06 September 2007 06:26 AM   [ Ignore ]

I was wondering how you quote from an article or comment that you want to comment on in your comment.  An examp;e is, in the comment section to this thread http://www.baseballthinkfactory.org/files/newsstand/discussion/brewers_acquire_ray_king_to_shore_up_pen/
How do you copy the quote from comment #8 like the guy did in comment #9.

Here’s the easiest way to quote text in comments:

1) Click in the comment box;
2) Click on the “quote” button just above the comment box. This will produce the following;

3) Highlight the text you’d like to quote with your mouse;
4) Copy the highlighted text by hitting the ctrl and the c key (at the same time) on your keyboard;
5) Place the cursor in between the “quote” tags within the comment box and hit ctrl and v key (at the same time) so it looks like the following:
Here's the easiest way to quote text in comments:
6) Hit the “Submit your comment” button.
