Please don't trade Beltran to Philly.
   2. Gonna break my Rusty Kuntz and run . . . Arbitol Posted: July 20, 2011 at 11:44 PM (#3882452)
Eh, bring home a top tier prospect and I'll live with the next couple of months. He'll probably get hurt anyway.
   3. AJM Posted: July 20, 2011 at 11:45 PM (#3882453)
This is not going well.
   4. AJM Posted: July 20, 2011 at 11:57 PM (#3882455)
Dickey puts it in the hole!
   5. Gonna break my Rusty Kuntz and run . . . Arbitol Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:05 AM (#3882457)
Why are the broadcasters in right field?
   6. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:10 AM (#3882459)
So is Daniel Murphy becoming the hitter I thought he'd be all along only too late to save face for me? Sigh.
   7. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:12 AM (#3882461)
I think Bay hurt himself on that slide attempt when he tried to catch the foul ball.
   8. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:15 AM (#3882463)
Its bad, but I got a little bit excited when they said Bay has a tight hamstring.
   9. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:17 AM (#3882464)
I got a little bit excited when they said Bay has a tight hamstring.

Oh hell, Banta. It's old hat for me getting excited by tight hamstrings.
   10. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:19 AM (#3882465)
Haha, you're so Sam!
   11. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:22 AM (#3882466)
Hey, Sam, I'd hate to bother you, but I'm gonna bother you because it's somewhat important and I'm a very poor, pitiful man and you're so very, very smart (and handsome!). Could I send you an email regarding a family law issue?
   12. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:25 AM (#3882468)
Sure, but it's not exactly my area of expertise. I'll do my best. Even if you quit the shameless kissing up.
   13. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:26 AM (#3882469)
Even if you quit the shameless kissing up.

But I'd have to be crazy not to acknowledge how great you are!
   14. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:27 AM (#3882470)
Duda is very much an unfinished product defensively, no matter where they put him.
   15. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:30 AM (#3882472)
Sue their asses off.
   16. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:35 AM (#3882473)
BTW, Olney's comments on the Beltran trade situation and what "other teams" are willing to give up were really, obviously, serving as a mouthpiece for Brian Sabean. Sabean thinks he can/should get away with giving up no more than a B prospect for Beltran, even if the Mets pay most of the contract. Good luck with that, Brian.
   17. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:39 AM (#3882475)
I'm going to miss that swing. Ka-Boom.
   18. AJM Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:40 AM (#3882476)
Crushed! I'm going to miss him.
   19. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:41 AM (#3882477)
Make that a Diet Pepsi, AJM.
   20. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:41 AM (#3882478)
It's too bad that wasn't right at Keith. That would be a clip for the ages.
   21. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:42 AM (#3882480)
Are the SNY guys in the stands tonight? I'm watching on ESPN.
   22. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:48 AM (#3882481)
Yay Beltran (delayed!).

You've got mail, Sam. Sorry I'm such a rambler, but hopefully your professor skills can decode through it.
   23. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:48 AM (#3882482)
Sam, yes, Pepsi porch.
   24. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:54 AM (#3882485)
I'll tell you what pisses me off about Duda more than anything... is that he hasn't hit a fracking homerun yet. I mean, that's the point of him.
   25. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 12:59 AM (#3882488)
God Pagan sucks. Really should have traded him last year.
   26. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:01 AM (#3882489)
Nick Punto is on the Cards? That makes total sense.
   27. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:08 AM (#3882493)
That was fantastic work from Beato.
   28. Gonna break my Rusty Kuntz and run . . . Arbitol Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:10 AM (#3882494)
I would definitely go after Pujols in this situation.
   29. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:10 AM (#3882495)
Wow, first Parnell and now Beato take care of Pujols on back-to-back nights. Francisco who?
   30. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:17 AM (#3882499)
Come on, Murph, you can bring it home.
   31. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:19 AM (#3882501)
Beltran's OPS+ is at like 155 now. That's pretty freaking sick.
   32. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:20 AM (#3882502)
argh

They jinxed him
   33. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:38 AM (#3882511)
Harris should ####### swing, as he's incapable of bunting.
   34. Sam M. Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:39 AM (#3882512)
You have mail, Banta. Keep the faith.
   35. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:44 AM (#3882515)
I really kinda wish Duda had gone all Delgado on that 3-0.
   36. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:45 AM (#3882516)
Thole, hit the damn ball, please.
   37. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:48 AM (#3882517)
Thank you Sam!

And thank you, Thole!

Sam more though.
   38. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 01:48 AM (#3882518)
THANK YOU
   39. AJM Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:01 AM (#3882523)
Yay Izzy!

It'd be nice if the Mets can get someone decent for him.
   40. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:07 AM (#3882524)
Sam, I replied again.

Well, that wasn't exciting, Beltran.
   41. Gonna break my Rusty Kuntz and run . . . Arbitol Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:13 AM (#3882525)
Ok, I'll say it - Izzy's better than Bottalico was.
   42. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:15 AM (#3882526)
Izzy looks good.
   43. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:21 AM (#3882530)
Oh ####, I jinxed him.
   44. Banta Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:26 AM (#3882533)
Ok, I guess they shouldn't have traded him after all!

That's a good game, folks.
   45. Lassus Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:26 AM (#3882534)
Boy, that was easy. :-)
   46. Raskolnikov Posted: July 21, 2011 at 02:31 AM (#3882538)
