These knuckleheads.

Brenly is holding back the vitriol after those Ramirez miscues.

Tough break for Colvin. That thing was smashed.

Every time I hear Costanza, I feel the need to make a George joke.

This inning has not been Soto's best.
   6. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 07:41 PM (#3899772)
A girl I had a class with many years ago now lives in Atlanta and just posted a picture from the second row in left. I asked her to make copious amounts of Seinfeld references. And to throw some peanuts at Soriano.
   7. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 07:44 PM (#3899773)
Man, Soto just ###### the team for the day.
   8. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 07:44 PM (#3899775)
Blake DeWitt? Not the guy who is 9 for his last 12?
   9. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 07:51 PM (#3899780)
Won't be a tied game for long with Grabow trotting out.
   10. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 07:58 PM (#3899782)
John Grabow is just utterly worthless.
   11. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 07:58 PM (#3899783)
I mean, seriously, #### this guy. Gonzalez doesn't run well and Grabow still chucks it into right.
   12. SteveM. Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:03 PM (#3899784)
The Cubs defense has been beyond bad today. And why is Grabow still on the roster?
   13. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:08 PM (#3899788)
Grabow has now allowed at least one run in his last five appearances. And he hasn't had a clean inning since June 6.
   14. SteveM. Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:12 PM (#3899790)
Wow-Pena with power against a lefty.
   15. STEAGLES is all out of bubblegum Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:13 PM (#3899791)
if i had any confidence in the cubs bullpen, i'd be pretty happy right now.
   16. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:17 PM (#3899796)
Your cynicism isn't unfounded. I'd be amazed if this were still a Cubs lead after this inning.
   17. SteveM. Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:26 PM (#3899806)
Actually the Cubs bullpen is the least of my worries of this team (Grabow excepted).
   18. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:28 PM (#3899808)
Soto has looked abysmal at the plate today.
   19. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:34 PM (#3899812)
Some fine defense from Barney today.
   20. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:36 PM (#3899814)
Castro!
   21. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:44 PM (#3899818)
These young arms out of the Atlanta pen are naaasty.
   22. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:47 PM (#3899823)
Buckle up, everyone.
   23. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:55 PM (#3899828)
Officially nervous.
   24. SteveM. Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:55 PM (#3899829)
What the hell is wrong with Soto today?
   25. Walks Clog Up the Bases Posted: August 14, 2011 at 08:57 PM (#3899832)
Well, Ramirez made the defensive play he needed to.

You're welcome, Philly.
   26. STEAGLES is all out of bubblegum Posted: August 14, 2011 at 09:11 PM (#3899849)
You're welcome, Philly.
it's much appreciated.
These young arms out of the Atlanta pen are naaasty.
venters and kimbrel are definitely that, but they're getting a lot of use this year. they're racking up back-to-back outings, and with the amount of effort they put into each pitch, you've gotta wonder how long they'll be able to handle the workload.
