I am actually not a Sinatra fan. One of my favorite albums is Count Basie doing Sinatra's tunes without anyone singing.

Sinatra at his best had a wonderful voice, and could deliver a great arrangement amazingly well. When he was playing Sinatra-the-character . . . not so much.

There are enough amazing vocalists around without that problem I just never felt like I was missing anything by not being into him.

Listen to this. It's none of the "My Way" bluster, Vegas stagey stuff. It's just incredible, subtle delivery of the lyrics with emotional connection. There aren't five other singers of the 20th century who could match that performance.

After that throw from Reyes to get Werth, I hope that all talk that Tejada has a stronger arm will cease. Tejada has a gun, but Jose has a cannon.

Back within two of .500, after having fallen to (I believe) 60-68 a few days ago. No giving up. Got to like that.
