these rain delays are gonna make for some interesting roster moves. worley only got through 3 innings last night, and oswalt didn't even get on the mound before the rain hit tonight.

herndon threw 3 innings last night in relief of worley and kyle kendrick, who was slated to start tomorrow night has taken over for oswalt following tonight's 2+ hour rain delay.


another complication is that they're skipping hamels' start in the rotation this week after the issue with his shoulder coming out of his last start.


i guess the best option would be to put oswalt back on the mound tomorrow and hope he's not out of rhythm following whatever this was.

they could also put worley on the mound, since he only threw 30 pitches the other night.

if they wanted to call someone up, tyler cloyd would be on full rest, and both dave bush and JC ramirez would be on 3 days rest. roy halladay would also be an option on 3 days rest, but with a 9 game lead in the loss column, i doubt that would be plan A, B, C, D, E, F, or G.



it should be interesting at least. hopefully noone gets hurt.

One hard hit ball in the 6 run ninth for the Nats. Give them credit, they fought off a bunch of 0-2 counts. Werth's 10 pitch walk set up the inning. Madson just wasn't sharp but also didn't deserve that bad of a drubbing. Funny game. Phils had 8 hits, 7 in one inning.

I guess I was pretty sleepy, Werth actually got a single.
