The way the ump sets up, I don't see how he sees the away part of the plate for RHB

Figured it had to be something like that. Well, either that or the update was frozen.

Where is Papelbon's split? Did he give up on out earlier this year?
   819. Jay Seaver Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:43 AM (#3940471)
You know, I really haven't missed "must make it exciting!" Papelbon at all.

Braun has not gotten a hit three times tonight. (1 GO, 2 walks)

All three times Fielder followed with homeruns.

28+ pitches for Papelbon. Even if they win, that ain't good for tomorrow.

Wow, they hold on to win. Don't know who's gonna pitch tomorrow though. Hell of an effort by the O's against Bard and Papelbon.

And seriously, that ump deserves to be fired.
   844. Joel W Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:45 AM (#3940499)
Breathing. Fortunately I will be celebrating the New Year rather than watching this tomorrow.

Fielder will have a chance for 4 HRs in a game... OK, I'll be watching.

Dale, can we all kick in to send you somewhere tomorrow night?
   854. The John Wetland Memorial Death (CoB) Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:46 AM (#3940510)
Yeah, David Price vs T.B.A.

I hope the Red Sox bring their bats to the park tomorrow night ...

On the one hand, this situation sucks ass. On the other hand, this is why baseball is awesome.
   856. Jose Can Still Seabiscuit Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:48 AM (#3940514)
We can't play a close game tomorrow, Papelbon and Bard are cooked.
   857. Joyful Calculus Instructor Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:48 AM (#3940515)
See what happens when the Sox only have the Orioles left? It's. Over.
   858. Jay Seaver Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:48 AM (#3940516)
I am really not feeling good about Lester. The deck seems to be really stacked against the Sox tomorrow.

"I mean, How tough is it to win a baseball game in the ninth inning?" - Dennis Eckersley, who may have a skewed perspective on this.

Dale, can we all kick in to send you somewhere tomorrow night?

I work tomorrow night.

And Thurs, but if the Sox have to go to TB there is 0% chance they win. (Hope i got one last reverse jinx left in the ol tank) No really, it's 0%

Price could, I suppose, always blow out his elbow in the 1st inning, but then they'd just bring in Moore, who would toss a CG no-hitter...

Lavarnway has to start tomorrow, right? Right?
   865. Rafael Bellylard: Built like a Panda. Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:54 AM (#3940528)
I have Wednesday's off, will put something in the slow cooker tomorrow morning and take a nap tomorrow afternoon. I have to work Thursday until about 8pm, so at least I'll have the radio if there's a game 163.
   866. Dale Sams Posted: September 28, 2011 at 02:57 AM (#3940530)
Price could, I suppose, always blow out his elbow in the 1st inning, but then they'd just bring in Moore, who would toss a CG no-hitter...

He actually hasn't been all that impressive, but you're right...Madden will bring in Price 2.0 at the first sign of trouble.

And Girardi is right. 1 day between game 162 and the playoffs?
