*wakes up from 10-year coma*

Wow, great to see that Bartolo is still going strong! But damned if those Yankees don't ruin it for the rest of us - they sign everyone!

I was really hoping that Joe Buck wouldn't be announcing this game. I never hated his play-by-play as much as most people did, but he's just impossible to listen to with that ongoing voice problem.
   3. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:13 PM (#3867933)
I hate Joe Buck more than most people. So, I'm probably gonna be muting this pretty quickly.
   4. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:14 PM (#3867934)
I'm just waiting for the Reyes trade talk to start before I silence this.
   5. Austin Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:22 PM (#3867938)
Cano managed to look pretty darned stupid on that attempted glove flip. If you only watched the highlights, you'd think it was a guaranteed way to make a highlight-reel play, not to toss it six feet straight up into the air.
   6. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:39 PM (#3867948)
Robothal saying the Mets fans will burn down CitiField if Reyes is traded. I like it.
   7. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:41 PM (#3867950)
Beltran more valuable than sucK-rod? Controversial stuff there, Timmy.
   8. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:44 PM (#3867952)
...Jose's hurt?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
   9. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:45 PM (#3867953)
I am not ####### happy.
   10. Austin Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:46 PM (#3867955)
That would help to explain the weird-looking baserunning on the full count to Beltran in the first. I couldn't figure out what the heck he was doing jogging halfway to second base.
   11. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:48 PM (#3867957)
I feel sick.
   12. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:51 PM (#3867958)
If Reyes is seriously hurt, I think I might stop following baseball for awhile. This just isn't fun anymore.
   13. AJM Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:54 PM (#3867962)
I wake up to hear Reyes is hurt. Excuse me while I slit my wrists.
   14. Joshemy Posted: July 02, 2011 at 08:55 PM (#3867963)
Reyes and hamstring... uh oh.
   15. Austin Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:11 PM (#3867983)
I love watching the movement on Colon's two-seam fastball.
   16. Why Bloody Valdespin? Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:28 PM (#3867995)
Colon showing his defensive prowess.
   17. Austin Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:35 PM (#3867998)
Based on the Mets' recent history, I'm thinking grand slam here from Gee.
   18. Joshemy Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:36 PM (#3868000)
Better off striking out.
   19. AJM Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:37 PM (#3868003)
That sucked.
   20. Dale Sams Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:38 PM (#3868004)
And *that* is why you have the pitcher bunt in that situation. Something we discussed a bit when Lester faced a similar situation against the Phillies.
   21. The John Wetland Memorial Death (CoB) Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:38 PM (#3868006)
Well done, Fat Bastard, now go eat a pizza and pound some budweisers ...
   22. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:46 PM (#3868010)
Well done, Fat Bastard

My mother saw his picture before the game and she thought he was one of the Yankee coaches...

And as it was once said,

SEASON OVER!!!
   23. AJM Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:46 PM (#3868011)
This also sucks.
   24. Banta Posted: July 02, 2011 at 09:50 PM (#3868016)
I think I'm done watching this. Too much disappointment for one day. Good luck, Mets, you'll need it.
   25. Austin Posted: July 02, 2011 at 10:11 PM (#3868033)
Does anyone else find it extremely irritating that the Yankees don't put player names on their uniforms in an away game?
   26. Gonna break my Rusty Kuntz and run . . . Arbitol Posted: July 02, 2011 at 10:15 PM (#3868037)
Or any other game, considering the marvels of modern broadcasting technology.
   27. Austin Posted: July 02, 2011 at 10:33 PM (#3868055)
What the heck has gotten into Eduardo Nuñez? Eight total bases today is a lot for somebody who isn't supposed to have any real power.
