Team bWAR leader: Darwin Barney, 3.4
Team fWAR leader: Alfonso Soriano, 2.1
Team WARP leader: Starlin Castro, 2.2
At the halfway point, the Cubs are on pace for exactly 100 losses. That's bad, but much better than it looked a week ago. They're still underperforming their Pythag record by two games.
The disparity in the various WAR metrics notwithstanding, I'm comfortable naming Castro as the team MVP to date (he's second in both bWAR and fWAR).
