I'm here. Oh yes.
   2. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 01:31 PM (#4112182)
Um, let's go Mets.
   3. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 01:56 PM (#4112206)
Ruby Tuesday? Worst nickname ever?
   4. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 02:16 PM (#4112220)
I am now here, too.

I would like to redeem last night's annoyance.
   5. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 02:28 PM (#4112234)
The channel that normally shows the Mets broadcast up here is showing the Addams Family.

Not cool.
   6. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:04 PM (#4112262)
And I'm back. I'm in the sun with an iced tea. My neighbor is smoking a joint. Mets win = perfect afternoon.
   7. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:06 PM (#4112265)
OK. How bout a run here? Productive out would be good enough for me.
   8. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:07 PM (#4112266)
Tejada!
   9. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:17 PM (#4112272)

Did you say you live in Noe Valley, or did I make that up?
   10. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:20 PM (#4112274)
Your pants are falling down, Bochy! You need a belt!
   11. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:23 PM (#4112278)
Nice D, Giants!
   12. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:25 PM (#4112281)
Did you say you live in Noe Valley, or did I make that up?

Yes, I used to, but now I'm in Oakland, near Lake Merritt. Had a baby and needed more room.
   13. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:27 PM (#4112282)
WTF?
   14. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:28 PM (#4112284)
That sounded ... awkward.
   15. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:30 PM (#4112285)
Had a baby

Congrats. Just make sure he doesn't become a Giants fan.
   16. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:33 PM (#4112288)
I woulda given Pelfrey the chance to finish.
   17. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:34 PM (#4112289)
Had a baby

You're THAT guy? I read about you on the internet!

(Too easy, sorry.)

Yeah, the two CSs were pretty lame.

And Francisco not inspiring a hell of confidence at the moment.
   18. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:35 PM (#4112291)
It's a girl. I mostly expect tea parties with imaginary animals, so I figure any sports enjoyment is just gravy.
   19. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:36 PM (#4112293)
Lucky strike one to Burriss, could have easily been a ball.
   20. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:37 PM (#4112295)
Ugh. Please don't blow this.
   21. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:38 PM (#4112297)
Byrdak coming in, that's surprising.
   22. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:39 PM (#4112300)
Seriously, why not let Pelfrey just finish it? The guy is big and healthy and he's not much else. He can throw 120 pitches. Let him eat innings, it's his one skill.
   23. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:41 PM (#4112302)
I wonder what Francisco's postgame reaction to THAT will be.
   24. Dan Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:42 PM (#4112303)
Byrdak seems like an odd choice to pitch to a switch hitter.
   25. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:44 PM (#4112305)
Seriously, why not let Pelfrey just finish it?

I'm not against putting Francisco up after he recently failed at the cost of Pelf's CG, I think it's good for him

However, he sucked.
   26. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:47 PM (#4112306)
Are you ####### kidding me?
   27. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:48 PM (#4112307)
Um.
   28. Dan Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:48 PM (#4112308)
Is Nieuwenhuis a True Met now?
   29. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:49 PM (#4112309)
I think that was Niewenheises' fault, that was too far out for Tejada, I'm pretty sure.
   30. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:49 PM (#4112310)
My god. My god.
   31. Dan Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:49 PM (#4112311)
Who the heck plays 2B for the Giants now?
   32. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:49 PM (#4112312)
I also think Collins got too ####### cute by half here.
   33. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:50 PM (#4112313)
The Mets are a ####### perfect afternoon ruining phenomenon.
   34. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:52 PM (#4112314)
I also think Collins got too ####### cute by half here.

I think he must have admired Bochy's work last night.
   35. Dan Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:53 PM (#4112315)
Huff playing 2nd.
   36. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:53 PM (#4112316)
Yes Howie. It DOES remind me of Luis Castillo.
   37. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 03:56 PM (#4112320)
58-year-old Hairston is really that much faster than Duda?
   38. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:01 PM (#4112322)
OK, Baxter, show us you don't suck as much as we think you do.
   39. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:02 PM (#4112324)
Duda is pretty oafish.

These handedness substitution battles are extra annoying when they involve terrible players.
   40. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:04 PM (#4112325)
OK, Baxter Turner, show us you don't suck as much as we think you do.
   41. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:06 PM (#4112326)
Aubrey Huff! Love it!!
   42. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:07 PM (#4112327)
Turner sucks, and we got a gift anyhow.

I hope we win, but that was pretty unsatisfying.
   43. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:07 PM (#4112328)
Dutchman, redeem thyself!
   44. AJM Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:07 PM (#4112329)
What an insane game.
   45. PreservedFish Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:08 PM (#4112330)
Well. Never has a team deserved a victory more than that.
   46. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:08 PM (#4112331)
That was.... something.

We got really lucky.

No one deserved to win, we just deserved it not-least, I suppose.
   47. Lassus Posted: April 21, 2012 at 04:09 PM (#4112332)
Also, who didn't clear the ####### bat for Ruben? Boooooo!
