does Youkilis make the final out of the inning?

Other than me being really concerend on who's going to catch Wakefield, I really don't give a frak.

Can't be a hamstring. Dougie hasn't had hamstrings since 1997.

I like the mlb.tv radio feeds because you get local commericals. What the hell is Del Taco?

I'd love to see Buckholtz's mechanics as soon as Lackey is done getting shelled.

BTW, I just saw Buckholtz's draft video, and not to keep piling on to the poor boy, but if you show me Hughes and Buckholtz to me in their draft videos? I choose Buckholtz. I wonder if his mech's have changed since he got signed. We'll see but I like whta I see so far...

I have a feeling that I'll be writing a Buckholtz article in the very near future

Maybe the Nats will send us a catcher as the PTBNL now?

Hey, did we sign Grendal?

At least you guys won't be reaching for the Pampers today.

Clay has the "Maddux Hop"-look for him to spear all sorts of flying things winging their way towards CF...

Hmm that Brown guy actually has some decent stats in Portland...

Dunno why Clay didn't go offspeed on that 2-2...

George Kotteras

I was interested so I figured others might be too.

The fastball is his best pitch.

No walks Clay, a few singles are OK.

Fastball command looks good to me so far.

Hey, did we sign Grendal?

Aren't their major concerns about the possible need for him to have reconstructive shoulder surgery? I mean, look at what happened to him in the minors...

If I recall, I've seen Cora listed as an emergency catcher from time to time. Of course, I think I've seen that of Hinske too, so my memory may just be ####.

Huge curveball, nice... BTW, Sox fans, if NESN does a side view of Buchholtzs mechanics (preferably from the windup), could you e-mail me and let me know what inning they did it? I gotta go and friggin work.

Thanks and enjoy... CBW

Youkilis's season is going exactly like last years, except the hot streak was a little hotter and the cold streak has been slightly less cold...leading to better overall numbers (for now).

I think Del Taco is a slightly uplevel Taco Bell.

   147. Weekly Journalist_ Posted: August 17, 2007 at 06:04 PM (#2489061)
I know they want to save the bullpen, but, man they cannot keep lackey out there. This is conceivably still a ballgame. Don't they have a long man or emergency starter or somethnig out in the bullpen?
   148. John DiFool2 Posted: August 17, 2007 at 06:04 PM (#2489062)

For the same reason they eat at Taco Bell here, purveyors of every gas-inducing chemical in the known universe.

Dusty Brown at Portland?

Not on the 40-Man roster, but by my count there are 3 open spots, including Clement's spot because he is on the 60-day DL. Is that last part correct?

There's a Moe's right across the street from my local Taco Hell, and for me it's no contest, despite the employee's always saying "Welcome to Moe's!" every time I enter.

After missing what he considered a pith that should have been sent into the sox bullpen, he cursed himself in spanish.

I was excited when they opened the Popeye's outside Fenway Park. You can bring an entire bucket of chicken into the game, no problem. UBurger just wasn't cutting it.
   159. John DiFool2 Posted: August 17, 2007 at 06:07 PM (#2489082)
Almost hurt the little kid-had the same thing happen in Wrigley's bleachers on Tuesday when a bunch of beefy guys jumped for a batting practice fly and hurt a small boy.
   160. Dan Posted: August 17, 2007 at 06:07 PM (#2489083)
My guess is that they're going to promote Jacoby to play Left tonight, DH Manny and rest Ortiz, then option him down to get Kielty for the 4th OF spot tomorrow.

Better way of explaining it than me. I was basically saying that he almost ended up in hospital a foot either way.

I just dont get the obsession with baseballs.

Why do you assume the mop up man would do any better than Lackey?
   166. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 17, 2007 at 06:10 PM (#2489096)
Hale too conservative there, I think. he could have scored on both balls.

Especially the Drew single. Why not run on Willitts arm?

I had Moe's once on lunch at work. It was most excellent. I think it was the one in Hanover, Mass.

To kill the commercial break boredom, here are Fenway's not stadium eating options considered:

Popeyes: above average fast food fried chicken, crunch spicy skin, excellent red beans and rice.

Boca Grande: A step up from El Pelon, imho. Really moist carnitas and tasty tacos al pastor. Cheap!

Eastern Standard Kitchen: The hottest restaurant in Boston. Outstanding, first order bartending for classic cocktails. Competantt outstanding French and New American cuisine, my favorties being the moules frites (mussels and fries), the brioche burger, and the hangar steak.

It's just not right to walk the Chonestir. You gotta come in with some batting practice weakness and risk the slap single to left.
