The Nationals should not be giving up so many damn runs to this crappy-ass team. It's time for Strasburg to find his command and help us take this series and homestand.

Great nasty breaking pitch there to get Lee.

That was definitely not a clown catch, bro.

Just sit down and shut your big stupid mouth Ozzie.

Somebody had better hose down LaRoche, because he's on fire!

When Stras is dropping that nasty curve in the strike zone is when he's darn close to unhittable, and he's doing that today.

Will Strasburg getting shutdown hurt his Silver Slugger chances?
   9. Joey B. Posted: August 05, 2012 at 02:57 PM (#4200964)
Uh-oh, Harper lost his cool. All of the little carping critics will be all over him now.

I don't think Strasburg being shut down (which would happen mid-September at the earliest anyway) would affect his Silver Slugger chances, which he's pretty much guaranteed to win at this point. There isn't a pitcher in the Major Leagues who even comes close.

Strasburg just walked Donovan Solano on four pitches...three of which were clear strikes.

####### umpires.

They couldn't leave him in for one more inning, seriously?
   13. Joey B. Posted: August 05, 2012 at 03:42 PM (#4200994)
Oh yeah, I forgot that he's on an "innings limit", except that he technically isn't, except that he kinda sorta is, except... ahh screw it. Who knows what this organization is really thinking about the whole damn thing.

If the Nats don't pick up LaRoche's option for next year, I'm going to be pissed off. He has earned it, and then some.

Is Clippard being transitioned back out of the closer role in favor of Storen? It kind of looks that way to me.
