Nobody wins, one side just loses more slowly.
   2. Foghorn Leghorn Posted: July 03, 2009 at 07:06 PM (#3241477)
I am in Philly with an extra ticket to tonight's game. Anyone available?
   3. Joshemy Posted: July 03, 2009 at 09:18 PM (#3241583)
Rodrigo Lopez? Losing tonight would be embarassing, even for us.
   4. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:08 PM (#3241657)
A harbinger of things to come, i'm sure.
   5. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:10 PM (#3241660)
Murphy gets in enough hitter's counts but he doesn't enough with them. The 3-1 foulball seems like it's his trademark.
   6. Joshemy Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:11 PM (#3241661)
That's a promising start.
   7. AJM Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:11 PM (#3241662)
Who's up for another excruciating loss?
   8. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:12 PM (#3241663)
Actually, in a weird kind of superstitious way, I'm kind of glad we didn't score there, we seem to gak it up when we scrape across a couple in the first.

Yes, I'm making no sense.
   9. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:12 PM (#3241664)
I don't think this will be very excruciating.

Livan will get lit up, Lopez will do his best Drysdale and i'll die a little inside.
   10. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:14 PM (#3241665)
Boooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm booing Jimmy Rollins.
   11. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:14 PM (#3241666)
Manuelball!
   12. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:15 PM (#3241667)
Uh-oh.
   13. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:16 PM (#3241670)
Total shocker.
   14. Joshemy Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:16 PM (#3241671)
Whee!
   15. AJM Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:17 PM (#3241672)
What fun!
   16. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:17 PM (#3241673)
It's amazing how quickly the excitement for the series can go away.
   17. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:17 PM (#3241674)
Eep.
   18. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:18 PM (#3241675)
This red hat thing is beyond stupid, by the way.
   19. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:19 PM (#3241678)
I couldn't agree more with #18.
   20. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:20 PM (#3241680)
Well, this could get ugly really quickly.
   21. Joshemy Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:22 PM (#3241681)
SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW HOOK
   22. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:22 PM (#3241682)
That was a disgusting sequence of pitches to Werth to get the K.
   23. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:22 PM (#3241683)
And here comes the Dobbs double to piss me off...
   24. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:24 PM (#3241685)
Oh, that was far more annoying.
   25. Joshemy Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:24 PM (#3241686)
Nick, there was no need to dive there.
   26. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:25 PM (#3241687)
Well, it looks like we're going to have to work for this one.
   27. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:25 PM (#3241689)
Yes, walk Pedro ####### Feliz you fat ####.
   28. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:25 PM (#3241688)
How do you walk Pedro Feliz on 4 pitches?
   29. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:26 PM (#3241690)
4-pitch walk to Feliz is an indication that Livan isn't on his game.
   30. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:28 PM (#3241692)
Oliver Perez has allowed 3 hits, 1 homer, and 4 walks in 4.2 IP. Somehow he's only allowed one run. UGH.
   31. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:29 PM (#3241694)
I have a bad feeling that the pitcher is getting a hit here.
   32. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:31 PM (#3241695)
Boy, that was a long three innings.
   33. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:31 PM (#3241696)
All right, could have been a lot worse.

That Ollie P line is still light years better than Redding.
   34. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:32 PM (#3241697)
Three runs off Cy Lopez is a tough ask.
   35. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:32 PM (#3241698)
I don't know. If Ollie is walking the park in AAA, I'd rather have Niese.
   36. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:34 PM (#3241699)
Scott Moviel is making his first start of the season in the FSL. He's a personal fave of mine because he doesn't walk guys.
   37. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:35 PM (#3241700)
Trap!!
   38. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:36 PM (#3241701)
Not even close.

Lame.
   39. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:36 PM (#3241702)
Dobbs didn't catch that.
   40. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:36 PM (#3241703)
I don't know that you can blame the ump. I though it was a catch.
   41. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:38 PM (#3241705)
I am really annoyed right now. I can't remember the last time I watched a game when the Mets have had a multi-run lead.
   42. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:40 PM (#3241706)
You want annoyed, Russlan? You burned episode four of season four TWICE! I'm stuck now, I'm going to have to pirate that episode somewhere. :-)
   43. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:40 PM (#3241707)
Now THAT was a catch.
   44. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:40 PM (#3241708)
Booth, I know you're busy fellating Rollins, but could you comment on his .255 OBP?
   45. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:41 PM (#3241710)
D'oh.
   46. Joshemy Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:41 PM (#3241711)
Beltran catches that.
   47. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:43 PM (#3241713)
There's just no way Livan can get through the top-4 hitters without allowing a run.
   48. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:44 PM (#3241714)
I don't think Livan could get me out tonight.
   49. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:44 PM (#3241715)
My god, this is a horrible defensive team on the field right now.
   50. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:45 PM (#3241716)
Livan has to pitch deep into this game regardless of his pitch count or his effectiveness.
   51. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:48 PM (#3241718)
I wouldn't have Livan bunting here... especially now that it's 2-0.
   52. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:49 PM (#3241721)
Runs, people.

Get a hit, Livan, we deserve it.
   53. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:49 PM (#3241722)
Season four of The Wire is one of my favorite things in the world. Seriously. When you finish that season, we must talk about it.
   54. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:52 PM (#3241724)
I always say this but Schneider is a pretty good hitter against righties.
   55. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:53 PM (#3241726)
I am beginning to hate Murphy, much more than he deserves.
   56. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:54 PM (#3241728)
We're just biding our time, to make them over-confident.
   57. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:54 PM (#3241729)
3 innings, no runs against Rodrigo Lopez. In CBBandBox. Ugh.
   58. Lassus Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:56 PM (#3241730)
I'm beginning to hate Livan just as much as he deserves.
   59. Russlan will never be fond of Jason Bay Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:56 PM (#3241731)
I left yesterday when it was 5-0 and they ended up winning. Maybe it'll happen again today. See you later.
   60. Foghorn Leghorn Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:57 PM (#3241733)
I am in the stadium and I thought Dobbs trapped it.
   61. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:59 PM (#3241736)
So, if you're giving up XBHs to Gabor, you've got nothing.
   62. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 03, 2009 at 11:59 PM (#3241737)
Whatever. The Mets aren't winning this game.

Maybe you should think about pulling Wright and Sheff, Jerry.
   63. Foghorn Leghorn Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:00 AM (#3241738)
Phils up 5-0, but instead of cheering, they are berating Sheff. What a bunch of morons
   64. Lassus Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:02 AM (#3241744)
Livan might give up XBHs to Eva Gabor at this point.

Not Zsa Zsa. She's got nothing.
   65. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:02 AM (#3241745)
NOBODY COVERED! OH NOES! CLUTCH SMART ROLLINS STUPID METS!
   66. AJM Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:03 AM (#3241747)
This team sucks.
   67. Lassus Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:03 AM (#3241748)
When we finally end up winning this game, it's really going to be crushing for them, Dial, hang in there.
   68. Lassus Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:15 AM (#3241767)
Wow, the chatter has had the life sucked out of it.
   69. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:22 AM (#3241768)
It's 7-0, lardass. Would it kill you to throw a strike?
   70. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:25 AM (#3241771)
Because, according to Keith, 7-0 isn't icing on the cake.
   71. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: July 04, 2009 at 12:27 AM (#3241775)
Misch has been pretty good so far.
   72. AndrewJ Posted: July 04, 2009 at 01:12 AM (#3241798)
I like this Lopez.
   73. Lassus Posted: July 04, 2009 at 01:18 AM (#3241805)
COMEBACK TIME!
   74. Lassus Posted: July 04, 2009 at 01:35 AM (#3241820)
Well, that wasn't good.
