Jason Bay got a hit yesterday and actually had to run the bases more than once. He is out because of a leg injury today. It's understandable. He's not used to having to do so. He is superb at walking back to the dugout. He's an all-star at that.

I have to say I am not really pleased with the fact that the Mets didn't do anything at the deadline. Hairston is having a good year and the Mets should have traded him. He could have netted an interesting prospect.

The Nationals will never win another game...that's how I feel right now.

The Nats are 8-2 in their last ten games and are still three games up in the loss column. A little early for that.

He swings at ball fours trying to hit HR in key spots, and he makes throws like that to third base when he should be going to second because he thinks he's a big man. I just don't like him, despite his occasional power.

Dammit, Ruben, why would you make one of your few errors in such an important spot. Argh.
