Pelfrey, Parnell, Figueroa, Redding, and Perez.

Dang.

Santana is a warrior for pitching hurt? Ron, for a guy who went to Yale, Rutgers would eat you alive.

Now that we've taken Pelfrey's health for granted, he's surely next on the hit list. Let's just hope it's a sprained middle finger or something equally humorous.

Pelfrey, Parnell, Figueroa, Redding, and Misch.

FTFY.

Way to butcher the pronunciation of coup de grĂ¢ce, Gary.
   5. AJM Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:13 PM (#3304996)
How long until pitchers and catcher report?
   6. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:15 PM (#3304997)
Hermida just never walked as much as he did in the minors.

As Frenchy hits a rocket double to left...

At some point, you have to say all of these injuries are simply more than coincidence...

I knew I shouldn't have made those Mets voodoo dolls.
   9. Bobby Bonilla's Annuity (Matt) Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:19 PM (#3305003)
The Red Sox are picking up the $3.7 mil, right?
   10. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:19 PM (#3305004)
Hanley can make all the bids he wants. The MVP is going to Pujols.
   11. Orange & Blue Velvet Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:20 PM (#3305007)
"Reshaped" sounds better than "crappy", eh Cohen?
   12. AJM Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:24 PM (#3305013)
Pablo Sandoval was injured? Even my fantasy team can't escape injury.
   13. Bobby Bonilla's Annuity (Matt) Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:36 PM (#3305023)
Davidoff has an interesting post up.

This is the most discouraging season ever.
   14. AJM Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:45 PM (#3305034)
Shut up! I don't want to hear about Pete Rose!
   15. AJM Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:47 PM (#3305036)
Shut up! I don't want to hear about steroids!
   16. AJM Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:48 PM (#3305038)
I've already seen the "Double of the game", I guess I don't have watch the last 6.1 innings.
   17. AJM Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:53 PM (#3305046)
Stop making Francoeur look good.
   18. Lassus Posted: August 25, 2009 at 11:54 PM (#3305048)
A RUN!
   19. Srul Itza Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:02 AM (#3305056)
I just took a look at today's line up:

A. Pagan CF
L. Castillo 2B
G. Sheffield LF
J. Francoeur RF
F. Tatis 3B
D. Murphy 1B
O. Santos C
A. Hernandez SS
N. Figueroa P

I can't imagine any this side of Levski who would have suggested that the Mets would run out this line up at any time this year. Hell, even Levski would have too much class for that.

The only guy playing in an expected position is Luis Castillo.
   20. AJM Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:06 AM (#3305064)
Nice going, Murph.
   21. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:08 AM (#3305065)
The only guy playing in an expected position is Luis Castillo.

And that's not working out too well.
   22. AJM Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:08 AM (#3305066)
Wouldn't E3 squared just be E3?
   23. AJM Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:09 AM (#3305068)
And that's not working out too well.

His OBP is .407.
   24. AJM Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:19 AM (#3305073)
Is West auditioning for a trade to the Mets?
   25. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:19 AM (#3305074)
This should be interesting.
   26. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:22 AM (#3305077)
Of course.
   27. AJM Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:22 AM (#3305079)
That's our Frenchy. Started so well that AB too.
   28. AJM Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:23 AM (#3305081)
They're terrible.
   29. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 12:55 AM (#3305105)
HEY we're not the only ones who suck with the bases loaded.
   30. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 01:02 AM (#3305110)
This endless obsession with the stolen base really bothers me.
   31. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 01:09 AM (#3305127)
Sheffield obviously is feeling left out.
   32. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 01:30 AM (#3305153)
I think Omir was holding the thing they use to fix the pitchers. And other medical problems that surface.
   33. Zeba Zeba Eata Posted: August 26, 2009 at 01:51 AM (#3305188)
Good job to hold the Fish to 2 runs... but that's not really winning anything these days. Oh well.
   34. Lassus Posted: August 26, 2009 at 01:51 AM (#3305189)
We suck so bad, we can't even be decent spoilers.
