It's very hard to dislike this Nationals team.

Lombardoozy? I re-winded, and yes, he pronounced it so.

And I fully expect DiceK to piss me off.
   4. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:10 PM (#4152526)
It would be nice if this continues, but they're helping him so far.
   5. dirk Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:12 PM (#4152532)
i also heard 'streaming strasburg'. really nice to see dice k back.
   6. Rafael Bellylard: Built like a Fielder Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:14 PM (#4152535)
No constant nibbling and he was successful. Hopefully he learned something.
   7. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:14 PM (#4152536)
They weren't very patient that inning. I know Zimmerman had to swing there, but they didn't look at many strikes. How long he fools them, we'll see.
   8. Rafael Bellylard: Built like a Fielder Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:20 PM (#4152547)
That was quick.
   9. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:25 PM (#4152549)
LaRoche has been pretty good this year.
   10. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:44 PM (#4152571)
He looks pretty good.
   11. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 04:52 PM (#4152573)
I meant DiceK. I know LaRoche has been good. I either traded him or released him early from a fantasy team. I had M. Cabrera and Smoak. I must have traded LaRoche. Let me check.
   12. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:05 PM (#4152577)
Well he was decent for 3 innings at least. Completely falling apart here.

Flyball double plays are the bane of my existence, but it's hard to blame Desmond for that one...fantastic catch by Adrian Gonzalez.
   14. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:12 PM (#4152579)
Gonzalez has been surprisingly good in the OF. Last year when they made him do it he just looked like he was trying not to get hurt (perhaps that was Tito's directions), but this year he looks like a good outfielder (at least as good as possible while being that slow).
   15. Esoteric throws a 'hard slider' Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:14 PM (#4152582)
Man, Gio Gonzalez is making Mike Rizzo look like a genius.
   16. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:19 PM (#4152584)
That fan must go.
   17. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:19 PM (#4152585)
Dumbest fan ever. And he ####### dropped it too after all that, so he won't even get a souvenir for getting tossed from the park.
   18. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:20 PM (#4152586)
Might have been a triple without the fan.
   19. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:20 PM (#4152588)
Did the fan slow it up? I thought the ball just died there and he scooped it with his glove.

And, as I've said before, only 2 types of fans bring their gloves to the game: children and Yankees fans.
   20. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:20 PM (#4152589)
I doubt Ankiel would've tried for three with no outs, even up by 4 runs.
   21. Joey B. has ignited his October #Natitude Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:21 PM (#4152590)
Remember early on when some people were saying that Gio isn't all that good? Good times, good times.
   22. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:23 PM (#4152592)
Those seats are pricey. What a maroon. His companions looked a bit embarrassed.
   23. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:23 PM (#4152593)
Harper is going to hit something hard here, unless Matsuzaka walks him again.
   24. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:24 PM (#4152595)
"OK, I'll be in the Cask, I'll wait up for you guys there."

The Cask shouldn't let him in.

It looked like he thought dropping the ball would get him off the hook, as if putting it back would just put it back into play as normal.
   26. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:25 PM (#4152598)

Maybe not, but the Nats broadcasters had Ankiel almost to 2nd when the ball was touched. Looked like the ball would have just sat there otherwise, and Goonzalez still had a long way to go since he had to protect the corner first.
   27. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:26 PM (#4152599)
In spite of the results, Matsuzaka's stuff looked better than it has in a while. His fastball command sucked ass, but his changeup was gorgeous.
   28. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:29 PM (#4152605)
Gio daydreaming on that play or what?
   29. Joe Bivens, Minor Genius Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:29 PM (#4152606)
DiceK eligible for the win!

There's no way that's an error. Neither LaRoche or Gonzalez beats the speedy Youk to first there.
   30. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:31 PM (#4152608)
Gio touching 96 on the NESN gun.
   31. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:32 PM (#4152609)
Too close to be taking that one, Will. Especially as a rookie, you're not getting that call pal.
   32. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:35 PM (#4152611)
Also: only 1 walk for Daisuke has to be a great sign, even with that bad inning starting on the walk to Harper where he clearly wanted no part of pitching to the kid.
   33. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:36 PM (#4152612)
Gio, you really can go after Darnell McDonald. He's not very good.
   34. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 09, 2012 at 05:59 PM (#4152619)
Gio only at 79 pitches thru 6.
   35. Chip Posted: June 09, 2012 at 06:26 PM (#4152631)
So glad Pedroia got to dictate that he would play with a injury that prevents him from hitting.
   36. Chip Posted: June 09, 2012 at 06:27 PM (#4152632)
AN injury.
   37. Dan Posted: June 09, 2012 at 06:27 PM (#4152633)
a ninjary?
   38. Chip Posted: June 09, 2012 at 06:30 PM (#4152634)
That too.
   39. Chip Posted: June 09, 2012 at 06:59 PM (#4152642)
Stupid #### probably took a triple away from Sweeney. That was ready to scoot around the corner.
