This will be a tougher series than the last one. Bottom of the rotation, and I think that the Blue Jays are probably a better team than the Red Sox.

I don't know what Grill'Ems are, but they sound pretty darn good!

Holy smoke, Morrow hurt himself after one batter and had to come out of the game! Good for us; not so good if you're a Jays fan.

Oof, that ball came off of Rasmus' bat like a golf ball off a 3-wood.

Heh, after that first at bat, Beck wants absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Harper any more. And it's hard to blame him.

Love ya LaRoche!!

So far, so good for the guys from D.C.

Bernadina looked like he was in some serious pain after that slide right there.
   9. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 11, 2012 at 08:44 PM (#4154256)
Harper 2-2 with a walk, but shouldn't have tried to go 1st to 3rd on Bautista when he had to initially freeze on the line drive. It's a learning process.

Especially with nobody out! With one out it's perhaps tolerable, with no outs that's a horrible mistake. He'll learn.

Jackson pitching quite well against a tough lineup; only four baserunners allowed through six.

Harper is so awesome, they're chanting his name at the Roger Centre. Opposing fans only do that for natural born phenoms.

Let Jackson go out and try to get the CG Davey. He deserves the chance the way he pitched tonight.
   14. TerpNats Posted: June 11, 2012 at 10:09 PM (#4154322)
Jackson didn't get it, but he's given the pen (aside from Burnett) a rest.

A curly "W" north of the border, and a three-game lead!
   16. Joey B. has reignited his October #Natitude Posted: June 11, 2012 at 10:13 PM (#4154326)
Man, do I love this team!

I guess the Primer Chimp didn't get his daily intake of potassium, so we'll just continue using this chatter.

Tonight's matchup:

WSN: Chien-Ming Wang (32, R, 1-2, 5.11)
TOR: Henderson Alvarez (22, R, 3-5, 3.76)

I'm not feeling too sanguine about this one going in. If Wang's sinker isn't sinking, he could be headed for an early exit against this lineup.

A 1st inning Harper hit. BUT THE PRIMER CHIMP MUST GO!

The phenom starts off with yet another base hit, but ends up stranded at second.

What a great defensive play by Espinosa there. The improvement in the Nats defense compared to two or three years ago; it's like night and day.
   21. Joey B. has reignited his October #Natitude Posted: June 12, 2012 at 07:47 PM (#4155101)
Home run, phenom!
   22. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 12, 2012 at 07:49 PM (#4155104)
That went a loooooooooooong way. 450+.
   23. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 12, 2012 at 07:54 PM (#4155106)
HARPER NOW HITTING .304!. Attention must be paid.

Have a day Espinosa!!

Wang getting himself in and out of danger again.
   26. Joey B. has reignited his October #Natitude Posted: June 12, 2012 at 08:44 PM (#4155145)
Wang looks horrible. No sink, and no idea where the pitch is going.
   27. Joey B. has reignited his October #Natitude Posted: June 12, 2012 at 09:05 PM (#4155166)
Solano with his first career bomb!

Bang, zoom, it's a 14 games over .500, Great White North Curly W in the books!!
   29. MNB Posted: June 12, 2012 at 10:10 PM (#4155215)
How much longer do they stick with Wang? I know that Detweiler had tailed off after a hot start, but it seems like he (or Lannan) would be a better bet than what they're likely to get out of Wang. It's not like Wang is increasing his trade value either (and Lannan has nearly destroyed his own in AAA).
   30. Joey B. has reignited his October #Natitude Posted: June 13, 2012 at 09:14 AM (#4155412)
I would give him another start or two, but if he doesn't start showing improvement pretty quickly, I agree that they should put Detwiler back in the fifth spot.
