I cannot tell a lie; I expect us to sweep this awful team. Now don't make me look stupid boys.

Keep the ball down EJ, this is a hitters' park.

Meh, game over, Astros win.

What the heck is it about these guys that can't even throw it 90? They just give the Nats fits.

It's that they're unknowns. Nobody's scouted them. Even mediocrities can survive a team's first trip through their rotation (or through the lineup) due to the X-factor.

Adam comes through again.
   7. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 06, 2012 at 09:21 PM (#4201974)
I think you're right about guys not being scouted. It seems like a guy making his debut will baffle the other team quite often.

Since the home run, EJ has been pretty nasty.
   9. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 06, 2012 at 09:37 PM (#4201989)
Let's make them pay for that mistake boys.

The kiddies call him Zim!

And of course the Philthies get embarrassed by Atlanta again. What else is new.

I wish our pitchers would do a better job of holding runners. This game is not over yet.

Come on Gorzo.

   18. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:28 PM (#4202042)
Come on Tyler, no screwing around today.
   19. Bourbon Samurai in Asia Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:30 PM (#4202044)
jeez this is a tight strike zone
   20. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:34 PM (#4202045)
Why won't Suzuki call fastballs? We need to cure him of that ASAP.
   21. Bourbon Samurai in Asia Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:36 PM (#4202046)
These are the ####### astros. just throw it down the middle of the plate
   22. Bourbon Samurai in Asia Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:37 PM (#4202047)
balls why did you listen to me
   23. Esoteric Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:39 PM (#4202048)
Strike zone ridiculous tonight, and guess what? We're gonna get Angel Hernandez behind the plate this series, too! Yay!
   24. Esoteric Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:40 PM (#4202049)
Clippard should have had Suzuki leap out of the way at the last minute to hit the home plate umpire with a pitch.
   25. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 06, 2012 at 11:45 PM (#4202051)
I absolutely hate the way Suzuki called that inning. They've been seeing off speed junk all night long, Clippard has an excellent fastball, and he keeps calling for junk over and over again. They're going to catch up to it eventually.
   26. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:02 AM (#4202055)
Now THAT looked like a team that has lost 30 out of the last 34 right there!
   27. TerpNats Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:03 AM (#4202056)
That was simply weird.
   28. Esoteric Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:06 AM (#4202057)
Can somebody tell me WTF happened? Not watching.
   29. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:09 AM (#4202059)
Now let's end this damn game.
   30. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:11 AM (#4202060)
Bernadina was on first, and Suzuki sac bunted. The pitcher and first baseman collided, and they ended making two horrendous throwing errors and Bernadina scored!
   31. Esoteric Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:13 AM (#4202061)
FIRST THING WE DO, LET'S KILL ALL THE UMPIRES AND REPLACE THEM WITH ROBOTS.
   32. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:15 AM (#4202064)
Wow.
   33. TerpNats Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:23 AM (#4202065)
It wasn't easy, not at all, but for the first time in 79 years, a Washington MLB team has 23 more wins than losses.
   34. Joey B.: posting for the kids of northeast Ohio Posted: August 07, 2012 at 12:23 AM (#4202067)
Finally!! Just a routine 11 inning Curly W in the books.
