At no point in August, is there a must win game being played. This announcer has now said that the Pirates have had four in the past couple of weeks. NO, just NO. Nobody has ever played a must win game in August during the divisional era.

I always make fun of the announcers of national broadcasts because it's so easy. They are talking about the Cardinals lack of offense because they sometimes score 1 or 2 runs in a game.....

These announcers are belaboring the point, and keep trying to say that the Cardinals aren't scoring or taking advantage of the situations....selective arguments. The Cardinals are first in scoring, because they do a pretty good job of taking advantage, yes there are games where they didn't, and they lost... but that is the norm for every team, there is nothing different about the cardinals inability to take advantage except that they have the most opportunities so are going to have the most failures.

It's to bad that the Cardinals just never deliver when they need to.

If you ask casual Cardinal fans who the MVP of the Cardinals is this year, Molina is going to win that debate hands down.

It might just be the games I have watched, but the Pirates seem to make a lot of mistakes. Not talking errors, but just played the ball wrong or wrong decision etc. Yes the Cardinals made a clear mistake early in the game leading to the first run, but it seems like the Pirates are just a fundamentally worse team.
