Is Nick Johnson cooked? That was a terrible AB from a guy known for strike zone judgment.

Rays and Yankees both trailing late.
   103. DKDC Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:08 PM (#4137415)
Nick started out the season 0 for a lot, but has been better for a little while. Looks like a shitty at bat there from Gameday.

Please, do not allow Andino to come up with the bases loaded. No good can come of that.

I was thinking the same

How many huge hits did he have last September? 1000?
   105. Jay Seaver Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:10 PM (#4137417)
104 - Just the one, I think. But he seemed to have a dozen or so in that series at the beginning of this march.

The Tampa Bay heckler is going all out heckling Lawrie. I can't really tell what he's saying though.

Andino had another huge game against the Sox in the middle of September. I think he hit a grand slam and I think he might have hit a later in that same game too.

I remember a gut busting bases clearing hit at Fenway as well

Didn't Andino hit the inside the park grand slam on the ball Ellsbury had in his glvoe but lost when he hit the wall after making what would've been a spectacular catch?
   110. Phil Coorey. Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:17 PM (#4137425)
It was only 1 or 2 - felt like 1000!
   111. Matt Clement of Alexandria Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:19 PM (#4137427)
The two very different breaking pitches back to back for strikes one and two were a fun little bit of Aceves-pitching.
   112. DKDC Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:19 PM (#4137428)
Freddy Krueger pitching plus a strike zone the size of a bus = game over.

Agree - the first one I thought was sensational

C'Mon Ace - dont walk him

.500!
   116. Jay Seaver Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:22 PM (#4137432)
WIN!

.500, likely gaining on most of the division and catching up with the Yankees. Goes a little way toward restoring sanity.
   117. Dan Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:22 PM (#4137433)
Porter has actually called a pretty good zone.
   118. Chip Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:23 PM (#4137434)
.500! Tied with the Yankees!
   119. Dan Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:23 PM (#4137435)
If anything, the strike zone was a bit small.
   120. Phil Coorey. Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:24 PM (#4137436)
Nice comeback as well - goes well with Celtics win !
   121. Jay Seaver Posted: May 21, 2012 at 10:24 PM (#4137437)
A win so satisfying that Eck is clearly only a little disgusted with Buchholz.
