Really. Podsednik's speed is completely useless if he can't read a ball off the bat or take a decent route to it. That ball was up in the air forever.

The NESN crew doesn't really sound interested in hiding their frustrating about Dice-K's lack of command.

That has to be the first time the Cubs have loaded the bases on walks this season.

Why the #### didn't that have Gonzalez shaded toward the line there with a pitcher up? He was playing way too far towards the gap for a pitcher batting.

Adrian Gonzalez was late on and fouled back a hanging 83 MPH slider or splitter or something in that AB. Dude can't hit ####. If his shoulder ISN'T a problem, what else explains this?

His power's gone, especially to the opposite field - it disappeared in the second half of last year, and hasn't returned - and he's lost control of the strike zone. The two walks he drew in the Marlins series were the first in more than 100 PAs.

He's just completely ###### up. I don't know if his shoulder is bothering him and he doesn't want to speak up, or if he's just not seeing the ball, or what. There's really no explanation for it. But he's no longer patient at the plate, has no ability to drive the ball, and is a complete non-threat.

I was going to say that Russell has been pretty good against lefties this year but he's gotten beaten up recently against them as well. .293/.474 against lefties is not going to cut it as a LOOGY.
