Already squandered an opportunity to score. Nice.

Red Sox can't score a guy from 2nd with 0 outs or 3rd with 1 out, then give up a leadoff homer. Yep, that's the 2012 team.

So, anything good happen while I was in Montreal, or has three weeks "get in at midnight, groan, write movie reviews/fall asleep, forget baseball when I wake up" left me with better mental health than most Sox fans?

Frankly I think most of us have reached the "acceptance" stage of grieving while you were gone.

Dan - that's a leadoff homer to a guy who was a last minute injury replacement.

Also a guy with 5 career homers in 145 career MLB games and 14 homers in 210 career AAA games.

Hey, Adrian hitting a bomb. That's cool.

It's kindof amazing in a way that the Sox are still given like a 9% chance of making the playoffs.
   9. Dan Posted: August 09, 2012 at 08:22 PM (#4204848)
Marson seems like a terrible thrower for a backup catcher who really doesn't hit well.
   10. Dan Posted: August 09, 2012 at 08:40 PM (#4204863)
Is this going to be the requisite "Fall Apart Inning" for the Red Sox SP?
   11. Jay Seaver Posted: August 09, 2012 at 08:44 PM (#4204865)
--sigh--
   12. Dan Posted: August 09, 2012 at 08:53 PM (#4204868)
Yes, yes it is.
   13. Jay Seaver Posted: August 09, 2012 at 09:24 PM (#4204880)
Awesome. Just awesome, guys.

Your 2012 Red Sox, ladies and gentlemen!
   15. Dan Posted: August 09, 2012 at 09:24 PM (#4204882)
Wow this team is awful.
   16. Jose Can Still Seabiscuit Posted: August 09, 2012 at 09:25 PM (#4204884)
What the hell is Ciriaco doing there?
   17. Benji Gil Gamesh Rises Posted: August 09, 2012 at 09:29 PM (#4204888)
Do I even want to know what just happened?
   18. Mayor Blomberg Posted: August 09, 2012 at 09:33 PM (#4204897)
Benji may not, but I just looked at the description of the play on Gameday and can't make any sense of what happened, and there's no video, so ...

6-5-6-4 DP WTF?!? Was this something that went into shallow left?
   19. Jay Seaver Posted: August 09, 2012 at 09:34 PM (#4204898)
Ciriaco got into a rundown, trying to buy Crawford time to reach second. He failed.
   20. Mayor Blomberg Posted: August 09, 2012 at 09:38 PM (#4204900)
Thanks Jay.
   21. Dan Posted: August 09, 2012 at 10:09 PM (#4204916)
Why would you IBB Cabrera from a 2-2 count?
   22. Jose Can Still Seabiscuit Posted: August 09, 2012 at 10:11 PM (#4204917)
That really just happened. One strike from getting out of the inning and he has Breslow issue an IBB? ####### fire this jackass please.
