Baltimore is a small market. Their attendance is up a bit over last year, but I'm not sure they'll ever see a return to their attendance numbers in the mid 90s with the Nationals around.

That last wild pitch notwithstanding, Wieters has done a great job with Tillman's curve all tonight. He's thrown more than a few 57 footers.

He's done a good job stopping it, but I'm not sure why he keeps calling that pitch if it's not working.

Tillman turned a bunc (5 or 6?) 0-2 counts into 3-2 counts.

And it kills me to see Gregg in a tie game.

They picked him up off waivers from the Diamondbacks after trading him and Matt Albers for Breslow. I think he refused a minor league assignment in Arizona.

Man does not live by RIzzoli & Isles alone. Besides, by focusing all of my hatred on Bobby Valentine I am able to be a more pleasant co-worker, son, brother and friend. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Thanks, Darren - that's gracious considering all the game thread tweaking I've done over the years.

I'm certainly enjoying this season, but games like this remind how quickly it will aill vanish when the time comes.

MLB Gameday confirmed my suspicion that I just watched Clay Buchholz set down the O's in order on 9 pitches and 3 strikeouts. Anyone know how many times that's been done in MLB history? NESN announcers somehow made no mention of it.

Jose - you are a trooper. I've definitely taken breaks over the years but I always come back and watch meaningless baseball because I love the game so much.

As an outsider looking in, the Red Sox are still dangerous and still have a chance, as far as I'm concerned.

They are terrible, and in spite of that massive overlook, they are not as bad as I've heard them in years past. At least they are seeming/pretending to enjoy their jobs tonight.

9. Scott Podsednik, CF

Also: Buchholz has been amazing in the last few months. Entering tonight, in his last 11 starts, he is averaging 7.2 IP, 4-to-1 K-to-BB ratio, 59 hits in 82 IP, ERA of 2.08...and he's pretty much on track to do it again tonight.

Also: Adrian Gonzalez continues to go nuts. Two more hits, two more RBIs. OPS of over 1.000 in the last 47 games, 46 RBIs in 46 games.

The Orioles seem to have a knack for winning series but then laying total turds in the finale so you feel like they lost the series.

He's been doing great since Youkilis was traded, and on fire since after the meeting with owners. Just to cherry-pick endpoints that may or may not have anything to do with anything.
