Man I can't believe how bad the crowds have been for these first two games. The Rays aren't that far out of it.

Remember when the Sox had a lineup of guys with OBPs ranging from .350-.400. This lineup makes me wanna cry....

PawSox playing like the parent club tonight, missing cut off men and getting killed.

Chris Hernandez now pitching for the PawSox.

Hernandez is odd to watch. He doesn't seem to really follow through at all and there is something odd about his arm angle that I can't quite put my finger on.

Doubront has apparently learned some of Lester's bad habits.

NESN reporting that Lackey is without pain and having no setbacks on his rehab. Obviously, I'm not sure this is good news.

Wow what a play by Iglesias. A step to his right he slides to grab it then with his feet tangled makes a strong one hop throw to first for the out.

Ellsbury with a "thanks, ump" look on his face when being called safe.

Gah! Why the heck didn't Podsednik slide! My biggest pet peeve, by far, is major leaguers who don't know how to slide.

Together with Pod's arm, why are the Sox playing him over Nava?

OK, guys... WHERE THE HECK WAS ALL THIS FOR THE LAST FIVE MONTHS?
   13. Jay Seaver Posted: September 18, 2012 at 10:35 PM (#4239718)
5 runs for the Rays on 2 hits. Even if the Sox win this game, it'll be weird.

Just me, or were the Sox pitchers getting really squeezed in this inning and in Doubront's big inning?
   15. plink Posted: September 18, 2012 at 10:38 PM (#4239722)
Jay -- I don't know what you mean -- they had relief appearances like this all throughout the last 5 months!

Well, I wrote that during a brief moment of competent hitting when they were opening up a lead. It was like watching a good baseball team for a few minutes.

And, yeah, the Sox pitchers didn't seem to be getting a great strike zone, but I kind of suspect Doubront's attitude was not helpful.

Nice job by Breslow and Bailey.
