Is it just me or do the Sox seem to have a lot of missed signs this year? Just a bunch of that stuff seems to happen a lot. All this "fundamental" type stuff that was supposed to be part of the Bobby Valentine era...God I hope he gets fired soon.

Doesn't look like it. He was named Special Assistant to the GM. I think it will be either Farrell or Lovullo depending on how muchToronto asks for in comp for Farrell.

The rebuild is going to take awhile I think though. Part of that is the lack of talent still here and part of that is I have no faith that the new GM is equipped for the job.

Having said that I'm thrilled with Doubronts effort this year. What I think is especially encouraging are some of his late season starts. It's nice to see that be seems to be making the adjustments see always talk about rookies making.
