Right.
   202. Dan Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:25 PM (#4142695)
So how long will they give this before calling it?
   203. Dan Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:27 PM (#4142696)
Trout just robbed a possible home run from Swisher. Definitely at least a double off the top of the wall.

I was just watching Melky Cabrera, Giants Superstar hit a long out against the Diamondbacks. He's become such a cult figure with his hot start there that there are five guys in the bleachers wearing milk men uniforms, with caps that say that say "Melk Man" on them.
   205. Dan Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:34 PM (#4142701)
The Giants fans make every player into a cult figure.
   206. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:35 PM (#4142703)
It's true, even Shinjo was a cult figure there.
   207. Dan Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:51 PM (#4142705)
Back underway.
   208. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:56 PM (#4142709)
Third outing in a row Aceves having trouble throwing strikes with the fastball. So far.
   209. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:58 PM (#4142710)
Thanks for the help, Berry. Now Cabrera can't be the tying run, at least.
   210. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:59 PM (#4142711)
Please. Throw. Strikes.
   211. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 10:59 PM (#4142712)
Now he does throw a strike, and it's not called.
   212. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:02 PM (#4142713)
Yikes.

Well, now Fielder can't hit the tying HR, either.
   213. Jay Seaver Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:02 PM (#4142714)
Wow. I thought Valverde couldn't get more obnoxious, and then I saw that beard.

Nice grab by Youk.
   214. Darren Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:03 PM (#4142715)
Obvious strike--that will flip him out.
   215. Darren Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:04 PM (#4142716)
yay! Aceves, stop scaring me.
   216. veer bender Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:04 PM (#4142717)
Added a little extra scrappiness to that one!
   217. Jay Seaver Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:04 PM (#4142718)
Win!

I had roughly zero belief that this would be the game that brought them over .500. Go figure!
   218. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:04 PM (#4142719)
How the #### could Leyland be ########? He's gotten nothing but gifts from the ump in this inning.

A winning record! Three games out in the loss column! Now to keep the fingers crossed on Pedroia.
   219. Dan Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:04 PM (#4142720)
Aceves looks like he needs a few days off.
   220. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:05 PM (#4142721)
Yankees losing, as Pujols homers off the sainted repeated PED liar Pettitte.
   221. Darren Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:07 PM (#4142723)
Got in a mild argument with someone at a party who said Clemens should have told the truth and that Pettitte was a good guy, who said he did it and had no reason to lie.

This is what happens to people who spend too much time listening to Mike Francesa and reading NY columnists who couldn't be bothered to actually read any of the documents or depositions. Their brains get as rotten as the media's.
   223. Chip Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:11 PM (#4142725)
I shouldn't single out NY columnists, there are just as many bad ones in Boston. The incredible laziness of the sports media in general on these stories continues to astound.
   224. Phil Coorey. Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:13 PM (#4142728)
Big win - now for a total lack of sleep worrying about Pedroia ...
   225. Dan Posted: May 29, 2012 at 11:17 PM (#4142729)
Just watched Reddick take a walk off Perkins in the 9th in Minnesota. 2nd walk of the night for Reddick.
