I was under the impression from MLBN, back when this game was in the 5th, that Weaver had been perfect. After his first walk it later came out that someone had reached on a strikeout+PB earlier.

Angels announcers carrying the "don't mention the no-hitter" superstition to absurd extremes, failing their professional obligation to actually inform viewers of what's happening.

True story-I left work, turned on the radio just in time to hear ESPN replay the last out and the announcer saying "Weaver has the no-hitter."
