Schweep?
   2. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 27, 2009 at 10:54 PM (#3307157)
That would be a very nice thing since the Rangers won today (thanks Yankees, thanks a heap). I really thought Tazawa was fortunate on Saturday, a lot of hard hit balls that went his way.
   3. Marcel Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:08 PM (#3307167)
I really hope they don't #### the bed today just because I'm at the game.
   4. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:17 PM (#3307172)
Good start - some of the curves looked good
   5. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:20 PM (#3307178)
Phil, up early!
   6. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:33 PM (#3307184)
Hey Jose - looking after the girls - so watching from 1st pitch!

9 am is not that early - makes me look bad!!
   7. Every Inge Counts Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:42 PM (#3307195)
Time for Youks to get plunked.
   8. Marcel Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:43 PM (#3307196)
Looks like he been trying to overthrow the curve ever since konerko's single.
   9. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:43 PM (#3307197)
Would Love to know what Ozzie and Youk were joking around about there.
   10. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:43 PM (#3307198)
Kotsay owes us a #### at bat
   11. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:49 PM (#3307200)
Now that is a joke
   12. tfbg9 Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:49 PM (#3307201)
Way to pitch backwards, gutless.
   13. tfbg9 Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:52 PM (#3307203)
Do any f*cking Japanese pitchers have any f*cking confidence in their fastballs?

This is really annoying. Has a chance to get out of it with 1 run, and totally chokes.

Stupid as well.
   14. Marcel Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:53 PM (#3307205)
Ok, the first time V-Mart threw it over pedroia into center was ok, but's like the third time in three games now. WTF?
   15. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:54 PM (#3307206)
teddy - the wall ball double was a bit of a joke
   16. tfbg9 Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:54 PM (#3307207)
Way to pound the zone and trust your stuff, you gutless douche.

Have a good time on the bus in the minors.
   17. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:55 PM (#3307209)
Would have been nice to get out of that on the fly to left but geez, can't load the bases then start going 2-0 on everyone after that and not expect to get bitten on the ass at some point.
   18. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:55 PM (#3307210)
More than a bit of a joke - that is a can of corn in every other single ballpark - damn Fenway ###### him hard there
   19. tfbg9 Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:56 PM (#3307213)
15-yeah, but he was behind every f*cking batter by insisting on pitching backwards, and nibbling 1-0, 2-0. The first out was
a liner to Bay as well.

What ever happned to the organizational philosophy of "zone-pounding"?
   20. tfbg9 Posted: August 27, 2009 at 11:58 PM (#3307214)
Ah well, win some, lose some I suppose.

That was a HR in any other ballpark.
   21. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:00 AM (#3307216)
Agree with both of you - Tazawa's luck was due to run out anyway - I just hate #### landing on that score board
   22. tfbg9 Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:00 AM (#3307217)
The stupid part was that after a while they were simply taking the first couple pitches, knowing that Tazawa was
gonna go with the breaking stuff to go 2-0. He could'e had a free strike a few times simply by using a get ahead fastball.
   23. tfbg9 Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:02 AM (#3307219)
Danks is a real good younf lefty--we're pretty well screwed tonight.

Might was well accept the inevitable.
   24. tfbg9 Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:03 AM (#3307222)
Anybody catch the end of the Rays/Jays game last night? Koo-koo.
   25. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:05 AM (#3307224)
That was weird all around. Three different home plate umpires in the game. I was listening on XM and the Blue Jay announcer said that on one of the walks to load the bases the Rays got a raw deal on the 3-2 pitch.
   26. Marcel Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:06 AM (#3307226)
Yeah, the ball four on that walk was almost over the heart if the plate.
   27. tfbg9 Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:07 AM (#3307227)
25-yeah, the one call on Wells was brutal--belt high, cut the center of the plate.

Gotta bail on this one--later guys.
   28. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:08 AM (#3307228)
yep - this one looks bad - only dropping one game is ok to these pretenders I guess
   29. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:08 AM (#3307229)
Later Teddy.

Got the first season of Chuck from NetFlix today. Starting to look like that was good timing.
   30. tfbg9 Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:09 AM (#3307231)
I've got an old Peckinpaugh war flick to watch...slo-mo squibs beats Tazawa nibbling I think. I'll tape the game.
   31. Biff isn't really an apt handle anymore Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:10 AM (#3307232)
The White Sox are doing what the Yankees should have done to Tazawa on Saturday.
   32. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:10 AM (#3307233)
So who exactly IS the long man now?
   33. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:11 AM (#3307234)
Golf course beckons - see you my friends - take care.
   34. Marcel Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:11 AM (#3307235)
I think I'm sitting in the same section as all of the white sox fans.
   35. Curse of the Graffanino (dfan) Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:12 AM (#3307237)
Can we get Penny back?
   36. Biff isn't really an apt handle anymore Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:15 AM (#3307239)
OK, this game is hilarious.
   37. Jose Can You Seabiscuit Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:15 AM (#3307240)
That's it for me kids. When the rundowns go to hell it's time for bed.
   38. Marcel Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:15 AM (#3307241)
Lame... who doesn't make an out in a rundown?
   39. Joe Bivens, Idiot Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:16 AM (#3307242)
Varitek would have been covering first. VMart is not a good defensive catcher.
   40. Joe Bivens, Idiot Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:19 AM (#3307246)
"I don't always drink beer...it's usually cheap wine, or some other hooch...but when I do drink beer, it's Dos Equis."

They found him in an alley and cleaned him up 80%, and put him in a commercial.
   41. Marcel Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:24 AM (#3307250)
Ok, I'm dropping out before I kill my phone's battery. I have a feeling this is going to be a long one.
   42. Phil Coorey. Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:27 AM (#3307254)
Chuck is cool - great soundtrack as well
   43. Curse of the Graffanino (dfan) Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:45 AM (#3307263)
The text at the top says TO MAKE A GIFT CALL and I keep thinking that it's directed at bad umps.
   44. Biff isn't really an apt handle anymore Posted: August 28, 2009 at 12:58 AM (#3307272)
Got the first season of Chuck from NetFlix today. Starting to look like that was good timing.

Yeah, Chuck is a great show.
   45. Biff isn't really an apt handle anymore Posted: August 28, 2009 at 01:01 AM (#3307273)
Especially if you're at least somewhat nerdy. Which...I think most of us here are.
   46. Textbook Editor Posted: August 28, 2009 at 01:58 AM (#3307293)
Green? Wha?
   47. Biff isn't really an apt handle anymore Posted: August 28, 2009 at 02:05 AM (#3307303)
Green is gassed, he's overthrowing!
   48. Biff isn't really an apt handle anymore Posted: August 28, 2009 at 02:08 AM (#3307305)
Aw, Green got hosed, Amica showed that as strike three.
   49. Textbook Editor Posted: August 28, 2009 at 02:16 AM (#3307309)
I know there's no long man in the pen right now, but confess that Green as the long man is... unusual, to say the least.
