Humber has a prefect game through 7.
   2. Accent Shallow Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:01 PM (#4112423)
So . . . is this game still interesting?
   3. Srul Itza Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:06 PM (#4112427)
Yes, moderately interesting

The ninth should be a fun inning.

Blacked out on MLB.TV, and FOX appears to be sticking with the 9-1 Yanks/Red Sox game. Lovely.
   5. PeteF3 Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:19 PM (#4112440)
FOX will switch everyone for the bottom of the 9th.
   6. ColonelTom Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:20 PM (#4112444)
Well, they've given us a split screen, at least.
   7. Srul Itza Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:22 PM (#4112448)
Also a live look in on MLB.com
   8. ColonelTom Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:23 PM (#4112451)
Full screen now.
   9. Srul Itza Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:24 PM (#4112452)
Ump -- time to expand the strike zone, dammnit!
   10. Why Bloody Valdespin? Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:25 PM (#4112454)
It must be weird having the opposing team's fans rooting loudly for you, not that I imagine Humber notices.

Very very cool

That was a gift call, but why not? Awesome.
   12. Srul Itza Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:26 PM (#4112458)
Sorry, dude, no way they're not calling that a swing there.
   13. ColonelTom Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:26 PM (#4112461)
Ryan should have beaten that out. Maybe he didn't want all the hate mail.
   14. Weekly Journalist_ Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:26 PM (#4112462)
congrats Humber!
   15. Accent Shallow Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:27 PM (#4112464)

Only 15 comments on a PERFECT GAME?

Third perfect game I've been lucky enough to see on TV, really awesome
   18. ColonelTom Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:28 PM (#4112467)
Well, 16 now.
   19. toratoratora Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:29 PM (#4112469)
The perfecto-very nice. Congrats to Mr Humber
   20. Srul Itza Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:33 PM (#4112474)
Since it was AJ Pierogi behind the plate, how many people here were rooting for him to throw it away on the last play?
   21. AndrewJ Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:33 PM (#4112475)
The 18th no-hitter in ChiSox history. More than I expected.
   22. Weekly Journalist_ Posted: April 21, 2012 at 06:36 PM (#4112486)
meanwile the yankees/red sox game has turned interesting again. Yankees just scored seven runs in the 7th.

Very odd distribution: From 1871 through the end of the 1956 regular season -- 86 years -- there were only 5 perfect games in MLB history. Starting with Don Larsen, there have now been 16 perfect games within just 55+ seasons. Were it not for Jim Joyce, we'd have 17.
