Was at the game last night, at the game today. Hopefully today will be better than yesterday!
   2. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM (#4158625)
Nationals defense has been utterly incompetent in the 4th.
   3. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM (#4158675)
Desmond!
   4. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 03:46 PM (#4158683)
Girardi apparently can't double switch properly.
   5. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 03:50 PM (#4158687)
And the umpire blows the call at the plate.
   6. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 03:51 PM (#4158691)
Moorecwas apparently called out for looking awkward. Timmons coulsn't have had a better view of that play.
   7. DKDC Posted: June 16, 2012 at 03:53 PM (#4158692)
So in guessing we don't have the technology for robot umpires to get that call right.

Even the YES chuckleheads are admitting it is wrong.
   8. Graham & the 15-win "ARod Vortex of suck" Posted: June 16, 2012 at 03:54 PM (#4158694)
That was a hell of a throw by Wise, but Moore was safe.
   9. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 03:56 PM (#4158696)
Now Timmons ##### Clippard on the strike zone.
   10. DKDC Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:02 PM (#4158704)
Haha to "this one has left center written all over it"

Adios, Jeter.
   11. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:04 PM (#4158706)
He's been calling low strikes all day, suddenly they're balls for Clippard.
   12. DKDC Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:07 PM (#4158708)
OK, it's walkoff time.
   13. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:14 PM (#4158718)
Three righties against Logan with the weakest ABs possible.
   14. DKDC Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:17 PM (#4158724)
Yeah the Nats need I get it done next inning with Harper and Zimmerman or it could be pretty grim.
   15. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:31 PM (#4158740)
And they go down like dogs.
   16. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:35 PM (#4158744)
Yankees have their white flag warming in the pen. Hold the line here and it should be an easy win.
   17. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 04:57 PM (#4158777)
With the Yankees' luck, I assume Chris Stewart will hit an RBI double here.
   18. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:09 PM (#4158782)
Does Bryce Harper have Valley Fever or something? He's even letting Freddy Garcia make him look horrible.
   19. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:10 PM (#4158784)
Harper tends to get himself out against slop throwers because his bat is so fast and because he's so anxious to hit the ball 500 feet off them.
   20. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:22 PM (#4158789)
Bernardina missed a total cookie on the 0-1.
   21. The Yankee Clapper Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:24 PM (#4158790)
More "Free Baseball".
   22. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:26 PM (#4158793)
Bernardina missed a total cookie on the 0-1.

Well to be fair, Bernadina is a terrible player.
   23. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:26 PM (#4158795)
Lidge? So you're just giving up on this game now, Davey?
   24. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:29 PM (#4158797)
Hey, if Girardi can get away with using Garcia ...
   25. Depressoteric feels Royally blue these days Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:30 PM (#4158798)
I am very, very glad I wasn't around to see this game until right now. I'd have pulled all my hair out by the roots.
   26. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:33 PM (#4158799)
The blown call at the plate probably would've done you in.
   27. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:33 PM (#4158800)
Zero chance that Lidge gets out of this with the score still 3-3.
   28. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:35 PM (#4158803)
Here comes the killer0-2 hit ...
   29. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:38 PM (#4158804)
Now the low strike is back, apparently? Timmons is so ####### inconsistent.
   30. Dan Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:40 PM (#4158805)
They've gotta cut Lidge after this, right?
   31. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:41 PM (#4158806)
The second strike merely guaranteed that Lidgevwould hang a slider with count leverage.
   32. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:48 PM (#4158813)
Kay praising Girardi for managing to not use his closer until the 14th.
   33. RB in NYC (Now Semi-Retired from BBTF) Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:48 PM (#4158814)
I wonder if this is the time Lidge is well and truly done, since he's certainly pulled the Lazarus act before.
   34. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:54 PM (#4158815)
Those were the two worst swings in baseball history by Espinosa to start his AB.
   35. Chip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 05:56 PM (#4158817)
Bryce Harper, Embedded Pre-Yankee.
   36. Jolly Old St. Nick Is A Jolly Old St. Crip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 06:14 PM (#4158823)
Thank you, Brad Lidge. The minute I saw him on the mound I immediately started looking for the shaving cream.

And I almost was hoping for Harper to redeem himself, especially after that great catch he made, but then I thought better of it. Glad he at least didn't pull a Don Hoak and pull a six pack, though.
   37. Srul Itza Posted: June 16, 2012 at 06:46 PM (#4158837)
So Andy, how is that Yankee rotation looking now?
   38. SG Posted: June 16, 2012 at 07:25 PM (#4158856)
Hopefully today will be better than yesterday!

Turned out it was.
   39. Jolly Old St. Nick Is A Jolly Old St. Crip Posted: June 16, 2012 at 08:46 PM (#4158948)
So Andy, how is that Yankee rotation looking now?

Like Sabathia and the Brothers Lazarus, but I'll take it.
